Back in the War a young soldier named William Johnson was recruited to the army. William lived with his elderly mother who was heartbroken when she heard he was leaving. She missed his company dearly as her husband passed on earlier in life and there was no-one else left in the house. Every day she would sit in her rocking chair awaiting the arrival of her son. Only stopping to eat and sleep. Then one day she received a letter telling her of her son's death. This caused her to give-up and shortly after receiving the letter she died.
Long after this incident people are still seeing the woman sitting in her chair staring out into the distance awaiting the arrival of her son. People even say they can hear the sound of her rocking chair as she rocks awaiting the arrival of her son.
A photographer has claimed to capture an image of the old woman but some say they are not able to see her.
